Course Description

Computerised Accounts Level 1 (Using SAGE accountancy software) The aim of this course is to develop confidence and gain practical skills, to operate computerised accounts software and carry out routine accounting tasks. This will include entering sales data and printing reports. Learners should have basic keyboard skills. The course is normally delivered over 16 weeks at 2 hours per week, using the College’s state of the art facilities.

Learners will use computers and accounting software, through the support of a qualified tutor, in a practical way by using real life examples and tasks. Learners also have the opportunity to work in small groups and share their experience. There is a certified end of programme assessment that is widely recognised across industry and recognises the learner’s achievement. Learners can progress to Level 2 with the College. A significant number of organisations now use some form of accounting software and actively seek people with skills in this area.
